Not a bad place today, nice weather for once... Audrey must have been bringing that bad weather with her. Went to the Kremlin, inside and out, and looked around. You can't really wander, there's armed guards all over, whistling and yelling if you step off the sidewalk, and there's an ominous white line painted around some of the buildings, and nobody was going within 20 yards of it. I didn't either...
Then, Red Square, which is actually made from black bricks. Lenin's tomb is closed today (hopefully see the guy tomorrow), but St. Basil's Cathedral, the famous one with the onion domed towers, was open, and it's REALLY cool inside. I got a bunch of pictures.
Most of the morning and early afternoon, however, was spent trying to find an internet cafe (not easy when all the writing is in Cyrillic, and internet cafe is actually spelled starting with a backwards N, then a P, etc. The internet went down at the hostel and they didn't know where a cafe was, and my phone doesn't work. I was worried about Aud, but now I see things went smoothly (more smoothly than here, that's for sure). so now, it's back to the hostel to attempt to book train tickets to St. Petersburg.
