36 weeks and 4 days

This Christmas holiday was pretty stressful. On Christmas I had to go have a NST (which is checking the babies heart rate and movements) test and amniotic fluid check at the hospital. NST test was perfect but my fluid was only measuring at 3 (supposed to be between 5-20). The doctor said how do you feel about having a baby in a few days, we might be inducing you today! That was a big shock to the system and not something we were prepared for at all. She went to go talk to the other doctors and decided to send me home since I was only 36 weeks and the baby looked wonderful. So after that Brian became the water police and has had me drinking 4 liters of water a day (he has also been drinking that much a day also), so if you can imagine I have been spending a lot of time in the bathroom.

Today I had appointments for NST, fluid check, ECHO, and cardiology appointment. Fluid check didn't go so well this AM and they ended up sending me the labor floor to meet with the high risk doc. and to decide if they were going to induce or not. He checked my fluid again and got 9! So with that they said no induction today and to come to my scheduled NST and fluid check on Thursday. So Thursday it will probably be another stressful morning of trying to decide what to do next.

Another good note is that my aorta has stayed the same as it was from the last ECHO, which is great news. From the cardiology standpoint I have been cleared for labor.

At least now we have everything packed and ready each time I have an appointment but hopefully they will let him keep cooking until he is ready to come out!

5 weeks and counting

I am now 35 weeks pregnant with our little boy who is finding kicking me in the ribs is really fun. Also he has been getting the hiccups it seems like daily-poor little guy!

I am finding myself driving down the Aurora (where University Hospital is located-45 minutes away from our house w/no traffic or snow) 2 times a week now. Being a high risk OB patient is just so much fun!

Baby Buma is looking good, we get to take another look at him next week via ultrasound. Get to listen to his heart rate on the monitor (a NST test) 2 times a week, they are also measuring amniotic fluid levels at on of those visits.

My last ECHO (ultrasound of my heart) showed slight dilation of my aorta from the last ECHO so I get to have another at 37 weeks to see if there is more change. So far they haven't put any restrictions or changes on me or labor. So keep my heart in your prayers!

Here is a picture from 34 weeks. My mom didn't like the on I put on facebook.

Hope all is well and everyone is enjoying time with family and friends this Christmas season! Be thankful you have them around!

It's a BOY

Today we had a ultrasound and fetal echocardiogram. Little baby boy's heart looks great as of right now and no more need to have anymore fetal echo's while in the belly. He weighs about 10 ounces now and is in the 64th percentile for weight. Everything thus far developing normally! After a lot of bouncing the ultrasound probe around he decided to move enough to see in between those legs. Here are some pictures, he likes to be all curled up. Feet up by his head!

Growing...

Our little family will be getting one bigger come January. This ultrasound was from about 8 weeks. Brian thinks the babe looks like a little gummy bear. I am now almost 13 weeks! Can't wait for the next ultrasound.

Our garden in waiting

I am so excited for our new little garden space I had to get the plants started at our condo. We get to move into our new place the beginning of June and are super excited. I think it is now time to start packing and really get excited that we are getting our own place! Soon I will get some pictures of the new place. Tomatoes, cucumbers, beans, and leeks!
